  Deb Kalas attended the wedding of a family member recently. The newlyweds had retained a good and less experienced professional photographer. Deb did her best not to shoot, but rather to enjoy the moments as a guest. However, she DID have her (very high end) camera with her and she could not resist taking a few shots. She and her assistant edited and prepared prints on archival paper with a varnish finish and it was her generous gift to the couple and family. I can tell you that the prints are simply classic, stunning, and beyond memorable. As an example of her professional eye, during pre-dinner toasts with all attention focused on the head table, the last golden rays of a California summer sunset streamed into the dining/reception tent. My attention for some reason strayed to the opposite side of the tent from the head table, where the wedding cake was displayed. It was bathed in this fleeting orange/gold light, and I wondered if anyone else noticed... Sure enough, Deb did captured it on camera before the light faded. That's what it's all about - and Deb Kalas is a master at it -- placing people in a perfect light, capturing the moment, and producing superior product!
